London, UK – When logistics meets legacy, the result can be more powerful than expected. At the historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, DP World unveiled its new initiative Beyond Boundaries, aimed at giving underserved youth better access to cricket training and equipment—delivered, quite literally, in shipping containers.
Behind the ceremonial ribbon was not just any guest, but England’s record-breaking bowler Sir Jimmy Anderson. Standing alongside young players and community coaches, Anderson underlined the purpose of the day: “Cricket changed my life. This program might just change someone else’s.”
Each mobile unit—converted from a standard freight container—comes fully stocked with high-quality cricket gear, ready to serve local clubs and schools. At the event, DP World confirmed that at least 250 kits are already prepared for distribution across the UK.
In a symbolic twist, the company linked the initiative to the World Test Championship Final happening nearby. For every 100 runs scored in the match, additional kits will be donated—a promise that combines sport with impact.
DP World has already deployed similar containers in South Africa, India, the UAE, and the United States. With the UK launch, it brings the concept home to one of the world’s most tradition-rich cricket cultures.
“What makes this special isn’t just the equipment,” said a DP World spokesperson. “It’s the continuity. We’re creating a reliable pipeline of support, not just a headline.”
The project is carried out in partnership with the MCC Foundation and a network of regional youth clubs. Together, they aim to reach thousands of young athletes who may have never had the chance to play.
For the logistics giant, this is more than a philanthropic gesture—it’s a strategic statement. By leveraging its global infrastructure, DP World is reshaping what it means to deliver value.
